Cascade Insurance Services is an independent insurance broker for commercial and business insurance as well as Personal Insurance.
Being independent gives us access to products and services from a range of over 300 leading insurers. Many of these offer specialist products for niche markets. We take time to understand the needs of our clients, and help ensure that the process is hassle-free and that they have insurance polices that provide adequate levels of cover.
We are based in Ashford, Kent, and work with clients across the UK. We are happy to arrange site visits and involve other professionals, where appropriate.

Cascade Insurance Services evolved from my desire to run my own business, but it was about more than just running a business. I had spent my entire career working in professions caring for people. I knew that this was where my strengths lay and where I could continue to make a difference, with the advantage of being my own boss.
My career began as a nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital, caring for children in stressful situations. I learned the benefits of following policies and procedures, as well as how to investigate what was not standard, what needed improvement, and when to question a policy if it wasn’t fit for purpose.
My triple proficiency in insurance services, quality compliance and patient care underscores a unique perspective, enhancing client trust and service excellence.

My journey into the insurance world began over four decades ago, thanks to a nudge from my father, who suggested I put my academic background to better use than working on the cross-channel ferries. He was right. That decision sparked an interesting and rewarding career in insurance, marked by diverse roles and enduring relationships with former colleagues and business partners.
In 2020, amid the global challenges of that period, I joined my wife Julie to grow our business, Cascade Insurance Services. While my background spans underwriting and wholesale broking, retail broking was a new frontier, and one I’ve truly come to enjoy.
At Cascade, I focus on building strong client relationships, offering clear, professional advice, and finding the most cost-effective solutions that work for you.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with several market leading insurance firms, including R.J. Kiln, where I was invited to join the main board of the Lloyd’s managing agency. I’ve also played key roles in trade sales and private equity transactions, experiences that have allowed me to develop new skills and sharpened my commercial insight
Today, I specialise in advising high-net-worth individuals on their high-value home insurance needs and supporting businesses with comprehensive insurance solutions. My clients trust me for my depth of knowledge, integrity, and commitment to service that goes beyond the expected.
